Rob was recognized for his leadership and passion in supporting after school activities and inspiring children in the City of Grand Rapids to read and engage with books. Rob and Aon supported “Read the Book – One Book, One City for Kids 2017” which donated a copy of Sharon M. Draper’s “Out of My Mind” to every fifth grade student in the Grand Rapids Public School district.
Our office participated in the September 11th Day of Caring this year and has every year since its inception over 14 years ago to honor the 176 colleagues who were killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. Aon volunteers spend time at local Feeding America food banks, sorting food and packing boxes to empower results in underserved communities. Locally, we partner with United Way of West Michigan to help out at the Grand Rapids Feeding America site. This day has become a strong part of Aon Grand Rapids’ culture of partnering with local charities to build a stronger community.
